Greek Dionysus in the country of the Indus behind Thrace

Annotation: The article analyzes the testimony of Apollodorus about the visit of God Dionysus to the tribe of Indus living beyond Thrace. In the context of modern data of linguistics and archeology about the Greco-Indian Parallels in language, epic poetry and material culture there is a substantiation of the thesis concerning the General historical and cultural center of origin and residence of two ancient peoples in the period before their migration from the territory of the ancestral home to mainland Greece and North-West India. Analysis of the data of the ancient tradition, taking into account the results achieved in the study of the languages of the ancient Greeks and the Vedic Aryans, the similarities and parallels in their mythology and epic poetry, the progress achieved (especially recently) in the study of the monuments of the material culture of the ancestors of their carriers in the Eastern Europe era Middle and Late Bronze Age, indicate a greater likelihood of localization of «India» and, accordingly, «Indians» Apollodorus evidence of campaigns of Dionysus, in the Northern Black Sea.
