Origin, tranlsates, editions, and value of Origen’s work «On the principles»

Annotation:  Thanks to his numerous works, Origen took a weighty place in the ranks of the teachers of the Christian Church on one side. At the same time, he is a figure convicted at the Fifth Ecumenical Council. It is further noted, according to available information, that Origen is obliged to have such an ambiguous reputation the treatise «On the Principles». «On the Principles» was one of the most interesting works and it was of a theological specifications. In it, Origen attempted to interpret the basic tenets of Christian doctrine, from the point of view of the philosopher-scientist, which served as a certain peculiar way of interpreting some specific points. This work has caused a great many disputes, delusions and condemnations. It served as the beginning of original disputes and gave rise to original origenism. There are two translations of «On the Principles» by Rufin and Jerome. The texts of Jerome Stridonian are valuable in that, among other things, fragments from the lost works of Origen are preserved, but on the whole regarding Jerome his works are mostly philological explanations, which often turn into conversations of a mystic allegorical specifications. But Rufin openly made changes in the translation. The text-translation of Rufin is preserved in the full version, so most of the researchers are based on it.
