Annotation:  On the basis of analysis of materials 8 Archives of the Foreign Policy, more than 10 names of newspapers Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany the article examines the main directions and methods of anti-Soviet propaganda in connection with the problems of the Spanish Civil War, 1936-1939. The authors demonstrate the provocative nature of the coverage of the Spanish events and the policy of the USSR in the fascist press, illustrate the thesis that the problems of the Civil War in Spain in connection with the Soviet Union were actively used by Germany and Italy in the propaganda support of their foreign policy both in the Iberian Peninsula, and Europe in whole. As a result of the intensive implementation of the anti-Soviet vector of Italian and German propaganda in 1936-1939, it has been possible to form a private citizen negative image of the Spanish legitimate republican government. This conclusion is proved and justified. The Spanish conflict of 1936-1939 provided the future participants of the Second World War with a unique opportunity not only to correct political and military doctrines, but also to actively prepare public opinion for their countries
