Annotation: The complex chemical composition of peats in the peat deposit of wetland ecosystems, their physical and chemical structure form their own hydrochemical composition of swamp waters. The article deals with the conditions of formation of the chemical composition of swamp waters on the example of oligotrophic wetland of Tomsk region. The wetland Gazoprovodnoe is located on the Ob-Tomsk interfluve, in the southeastern part of the Tomsk region, has an age of about 3700 years. The total area of the swamp is about 123 hectares with a maximum depth of 2.5–2.7 m. The swamp belongs to the category of small-scale closed areas with atmospheric type of water and mineral nutrition. In 2014 on this wetland was organized a peatland experiments for investigation of rejimes of the oligotrophic bogs. During 2 years, characterized by different weather conditions, the hydrological, oxidation-reduction conditions of peat deposit and macro-component composition of swamp waters are analyzed. The comparative analysis of swamp and river waters is carried out. It is concluded that genetic features of oligotrophic swamps create chemical composition of swamp waters: an acidic pH, high content of organic acids, chelators and reduced forms of cations. The chemical composition of the river flowing through the wetland or near the wetland is formed by melt, rain and partly swamp waters.
