Hellenism. Experiencing the mental identification

Annotation:  The article analyzes the basic characteristics of cultural and philosophical ideas of Hellenism. An attempt of the reconsideration of these phenomena from the perspective of the history of mentality is being made.The authors concludes that the Hellenistic mentality as a reaction to "the breaking of the world" (Weltwende) has resulted in the development of some new axiological and epistemological attitudes as well as teaching practices. Compared to the rationality inherent in the classics, the Hellenistic thought would rather draw upon such paralogical cognitive structures as faith, moral instinct, intellectual and mystical experience.The above processes made a number of important contributions to the development of some new ethnic and cultural communities of the future
