Annotation: The article discusses reflected in written sources in normative organizational structure early Byzantine monastery in Palestine and later Justinian era (mainly the region of Gaza), and the main features of the legislation of Justinian about monasticism. The monastery of Abba Serid in Gaza is at the center of such a source as "Quaestions-Answers of Barsanuphius and John." According to this source, you can reconstruct the main directions of life at early Byzantine monastery in Palestine.
