Authentic evaluation as an efficient form of identification of the level of the formation of professional competencies of the clothes designer

Annotation: In the context of the modern educational process, considerable attention is paid to the issues of assessing the level of training of a specialist for professional activity. The standardized procedures used cannot fully assess the skills and abilities of students to perform tasks in a real production situation. In this regard, alternative methods of assessing the quality of education, in particular, authentic assessment, are increasingly used. This form of assessment of the student's level of training is most appropriate when using a practice-oriented approach to learning. It is this approach that contributes to a more effective formation of professional competence of the designer of clothes. The object of the study is the professional training of future specialists of light industry—clothing designers. The subject of the study is the pedagogical technology of assessing the level of formation of professional competence of future designers of clothing. The main purpose of the study was to analyze the feasibility of using authentic assessment, in particular portfolio technology, to identify the level of formation of professional competencies of a light industry specialist. The following methods were used in the research: empirical and theoretical pedagogical research, analysis of domestic and foreign experience in the use of authentic assessment. The article summarizes the experience of the teaching staff of the Department of standardization, Metrology, quality management, technology and design of Southwestern state University in the implementation of modern forms and methods of organization of the educational process, the search and implementation of the most effective technologies for assessing the professional knowledge of clothing designers. The need for a holistic approach to the formation of project skills with the allocation of the dominant component at all stages of training is emphasized. On the example of studying the disciplines provided by the curriculum of bachelors, shows the gradual mastery of different levels of professional competence. The practical significance of the work is to create the prerequisites for the training of competitive professionals that meet the requirements of employers
