Development and evaluation of the effectiveness of the algorithm for calculating the total capacity and other characteristics of the regional pharmacy market

Annotation:  Assessment of the overall indicators of the sectoral consumer market is an urgent task, the solution of which is in demand not only by market participants, but also by drug producing companies, as well as analytical organizations, government bodies and regulatory authorities. The article proposes a method to evaluate the capacity of the regional pharmaceutical market by analyzing the price lists of wholesale pharmaceutical organizations. The main advantage of the developed approach is the high accuracy of estimating the value of the sales of both each organization individually and the market capacity as a whole. According to the study, the main trends in the wholesale pharmaceutical market of the Russian Far East were identified. It was shown that the share of distributors of the Khabarovsk Territory in the total capacity of the regional pharmaceutical market in the period from 2013 to 2018 increased from 44 to 63%, while the share of other territories of the Far East in 2018 accounted for no more than 24% of the total revenue of the wholesale market. The analysis of tendencies of fullness and deficiency of the range of leading distributors of the Far East with medicinal products of companies in the TOP3 manufacturers in the Russian market was carried out.
