Epistolary heritage of Victor von Wahl

Annotation:  The authors work out the classification and characteristics of the epistolary heritage of Victor Wahl, which was preserved in his three personal funds in the State Archive of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Historical Archive and the Russian National Library. The main groups of the circle of epistolary communication of Victor Wahl were determined. It includes the family members and relatives, friends since studies and military service, officials who have gained confidence and his acceptance. Fragments of Wahl’s letters, letters of other persons addressed to him are represented as the samples and examples of using the epistolary genre in communication of authors with addressees of different status in the implementation of various tasks of communication.
