Annotation:  In the article the author focuses on the fact that today's world evolves on the basis of the principles and postulates of the dialogue of cultures and civilizations laid down in ancient times. Modern global transformations have sharply raised the problem of historical self-determination and self-identification of the East Slavic peoples. To an even greater extent, the world situation is characterized by growing confrontation between the East and the West.
