Annotation:  Sociological data show that most residents of the Belgorod region do not yet have a stable, formed civil identity. Despite the declaration of civic identity of ¾ respondents in the region, civil values are only about 45% of residents of the Belgorod region. On the contrary, regional and local identities of Belgorodians are much more stable and are inherent in about half of the population. Due to the deterioration of Russian-Ukrainian relations, a part of the population has undergone a significant reassessment (almost always in the negative direction) of the perception of Ukraine, which is especially characteristic of the younger generation. Along with this, the region's inhabitants themselves note the mixed, Russian-Ukrainian character of the ethno-cultural environment of the Belgorod region.
