Annotation:  The article is devoted to the study of the influence of transformations of the institute of confidence on the economic and social policy of Russia. The confidence measurement methodology proposed in the article has a direct relation to the level and the life quality of the population. The institute of confidence impact on the social situation of the population of the country and on demographic indicators. The retrospective analysis of the statistical data of socio-economic indicators of the country's economy for the period from the 1970s to the present affect the life quality of economic agents and households. As a result of the research, it is justified that the level of confidence of economic agents and households in Russia's social and economic policy is rather low. The factors that contribute to confidence-building have been identified in the article. A high level of trust can be achieved if the state implements investments aimed at improving the quality of life of households and economic agents.
