Annotation:  In work theoretical approaches to the maintenance of the mechanism of interaction of institutes of the state and society are considered. Importance of quality of political management depending on the choice of forms of political and legal interaction of the state and society is emphasized. The special place in such interaction belongs to the known Development strategy of information society which has defined the main directions of interaction of the state and information society. Her analysis has defined the main directions of mechanisms of interaction of the state and information society directed not only on improvement of activity of institutes of the state and civil society, but also on qualitatively new ensuring basic rights and freedoms of the person and citizen in Russia. It is possible to carry to such main directions: legal, economic, social and humanitarian, technological. Improvement of the mechanisms helping to accelerate process of introduction of information technologies is the cornerstone of each of these directions. Within each direction the possibilities of improvement of the legislation, organizational and technical actions which are the stable platform for ensuring information security of the government and society in general have to be considered
