Annotation: The article presents the results of the study of the features of the subjective side of crimes committed by minors (on the example of judicial and investigative practice of the Belgorod region). The choice of the subjective side is not accidental, since it occupies an important place among other elements of the crime, affects the correct qualification of the act and is taken into account when imposing punishment. The subjective side of the crimes committed by them has its own distinctive features associated with the flow of physiological and mental processes in adolescence, as well as the influence of the immediate environment on its subsequent criminal behavior. The considered features in conjunction with the practice allowed to draw a conclusion not only about the nature and degree of social danger of the alleged crimes, but also about the characteristics of adolescents themselves. Analysis of mental processes occurring in the body of a juvenile offender, contributed to the delineation of the criminal act from the unapproachable, identify differences between crimes that coincide on the objective side, but differ in the subjective side
