Annotation:  The article proposes a philosophical substantiation of strategies for the future development of education and science in the context of transition to an information economy. A new type of institutions of higher education, created on the basis of the «triangle of knowledge» model, is spreading. The authors prove the connection between the models of education and the social order of the information society to oust the subject as an agent of economic action. They conclude that the substitution of academic science by commercial services for scientific planning inevitably leads to the depersonalization of knowledge. As a result, scientific knowledge, as the basis of fundamental academic education, turns into a technology of scientific management that provides the business with a stable income and a guaranteed future
