Annotation: The article deals with the problem of transmission and preservation of information in primitive culture. The authors reveal a contradiction between the imitation mechanism and the mechanism of speech coding knowledge. Imitation successfully coped with the task of inheritance and transfer of simple gun skills. Speech arises as an additional system of inheritance of knowledge, which through the mechanism of initiation and nominal coding carried exclusively "human" load and was responsible for the emergence of man. At the same time, the speech-myth included the contradiction of imitation mechanisms and speech coding, which became a contradiction between the limited in time bodily automatism and the timeless sign. The main contradiction unfolds between knowledge and activity, which dialectically interact with each other in mutual transformation. Activity through the personal experience of the name bearer corrects knowledge, which, in turn, allows you to inherit the accumulated experience of activity for the next generation.
