Critical analysis of research approaches to the study of social systems

Annotation:  The paper research heuristic and descriptive possibilities of methodological approaches in the interpretation of the functioning of social systems are considered. Audit of main approaches are due to both radical global changes and the need for a regular review of theoretical and philosophical grounds for their relevance to reality. The use of inadequate scientific grounds for the implementation of reform programs leads to a violation of the sustainability of social systems and is fraught with catastrophic scenarios. The immanent problems of the theoretical constructs of the mainstream linear pattern of the are revealed. The necessity of combining the cognitive possibilities of the methodology of the civilization pattern with the discourse of chaos theory with respect to social changes is substantiated: limitations of the amplitude of possible variants at bifurcation points are given by algorithms of co-evolutionary development. The obtained results of the research actualize the maintenance of systemic order parameters in the process of modernization reforms with corresponding restrictions in the course of institutional restructuring.
