Annotation: Deformation of the family structure of the population in Russia is one of the modern demographic prob-lems. A serious impact on changing family structures have rendered the demographic transition, which is orientated on having a small population of se-mew. The article presents the results of a study conducted at the Belgorod State National Research University aimed at identifying the specifics of reproductive atti-tudes and reproductive motives of student families. In order to identify the factors that affect the state of fertility and conditions that contribute to the reduction of the severity of the demographic problem, the staff of the Department of social work of "BelSU" conducted a sociological study aimed at studying the reproductive attitudes of a young (student) family.
