Annotation:  The necessity of smoothing interregional and intersectoral disproportions in the Russian economy is considered. The influence of natural and resource factors on the results of economic activity was studied. The problem of the presence of disparity in the formation of prices for products of various sectors of the economy, as well as tools for minimizing its negative consequences, is considered. A model for assessing the regional and sectoral polarization of the economy has been developed, which makes it possible to determine the magnitude of the imbalance between prices and revenues at the regional and sectoral levels. It is pointed out the problem of the absence in the official state statistical information of data on the most important financial indicators, such as the cost price and profitability of products in various sectors of the economy.
