Annotation: The aim of the article is to present the results of studying the situation with the Russian language in the modern normative and sociocultural conditions of the countries of the Central Asian region. The results of the research showed that the Russian language is a competitive advantage of a modern resident of Central Asian countries. The Russian language gives the inhabitants of the region the prospect of competitiveness in the labor market
