Annotation:  The article is devoted to investigation the problem of teacher training who is called for spiritual and moral education on the based on analysis of works great Russian teachers K.D. Ushinsky and St. Pheophan the Recluse. The authors prove that the result and quality of teaching of spiritual and moral education’s courses in the modern educational organization will depend on the quality of professional teacher training and the level of his spiritual and moral development. In the article analyzing the requirements for profes-sional teacher training who is engaged of spiritual and moral education. The most important among them are: spiritual and moral teacher growth, his love to children and subject, high professional skill, continuous teacher self-improvement, the idea of education, which brings up morally, understanding of holiness and responsibility for his activities.
