Annotation:  This article examines the objective prerequisites for the formation of the ideology of civilizational sovereignty of Russia (ideology of mobilization type) in the context of Russia – West relations. In modern conditions, ideology cannot be, as it was in the era of classical ideologies, a set of unified for all theses. However, in this capacity, ideology still performs its classical political function of ensuring the political and ideological mobilization of the people in the form of the development of their political consciousness. The modern non-classical “mobilization ideology” of the Russian civil society is not a set of initially defined definitions, but a set of basic values that can be interpreted individually, based on different worldview positions.

Keywords:  Russia, West, sovereignty, non-classical ideology, mobilization society.
