Society requests in education: teacher’s professional pedagogical culture of the modern russian institution of higher education

Annotation:  The reform of Russian education is positioned today as a priority national project aimed at accelerating the modernization of Russia by increasing the level of professional competence of the specialist and the formation of his personal qualities, adequate cultural, moral, socio-economic and information technology contexts of life and activities of society. In these conditions the activity of the teacher of the higher school, its professional and pedagogical culture which set of parameters is caused by spiritual experience and moral and intellectual search of society, set of the tasks solved by it in the context of current life acquires special importance. The questions of the teacher's personal qualities, which are in demand today and contribute to the effectiveness of his professional activity, remain without the focused attention of researchers. The purpose of the work is to consider the content components of professional and personal culture of the teacher of the modern Russian University, which are involved in the sphere of active social dialogue of modern Russia. The basic method of research is the analysis of publications about the experience of life and thought of teachers whose moral ideas and sense of civic responsibility reflect the realities of actual life (K. D. Ushinsky, D. S. Likhachev, A. F. Losev, Yu. M. Lotman, A. A. Taho-Godi, etc.). The study showed that the personal qualities of a teacher as a teacher, educator, researcher, mentor, citizen, intellectual and patriot are becoming especially important today. The article draws attention to the socially resonant qualities of the teacher of the modern Russian University.
