Annotation:  We can observe the practical implementation of the provisions of universal ecclesiology to this day. And today, the local Church can be considered as true by the Church, that is, catholic, as far as Her primate is in agreement with the entire episcopate. In the Orthodox Church, this is expressed in the subordination of the bishops to the head of the autocephalous Church and the communion of the heads of the local Churches among themselves. For Catholicism, such a necessary moment is the unity of the bishop with the papal throne. Thus, the unity of the Church is realized through the unity of the episcopate. This provision can be supplemented by the argument of prot. Nikolai Afanasyev, who consists in the fact that the fullness of the Church, which is present in each community, results from the full presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
