Annotation:  The philosophical and methodological analysis of the concepts of "identity", "negative identity" in order to identify their heuristic potential in the study of current socio-cultural problems (terrorism, extremism, fanaticism) revealed the mechanisms of formation of negative identity. Based on the definition of "practices of subjectivation" M. Foucault as folding subjectivity, subject, philosophical and anthropological analysis of this concept in connection with the personal self-determination of man, with the development of negative identities and personal strategies. The article concludes that limiting the problems and meanings of extremism, terrorism as a concept, concept and phenomenon only by the sphere of ideology, politics and law, emphasizing the connection of extremism and terrorism with the manifestations of the crisis in the economic and political sphere, makes it difficult to identify their specificity.

Keywords:  identity, negative identity, practices of subjectivation, terrorism, mentaliteta sphere, technology, negative manipulation, negative mobilization, destructiveness, deprivation
