Annotation:  In the article, based on the principles of system and historicism, a comparative analysis of the phenomenon of ideology in modern and postmodern societies is carried out. It is known that the classical ideologies of Moderninity suffered from excessive teleology and absolutization of the "beautiful" past (conservatism) or future (liberalism, socialism), while their current clones with prefixes post- or neo- are focused on the pragmatics of specific projects and absolutize the present. We came to the conclusen that we live in the era of ideological simulacra, which are used to legitimize various current PR-projects but not for the deep and comprehensive development of the basic ideological and semantic platform of modern geoculture. Under these conditions ideologies turn into a special kind of simulacra of the symbolic field of politics acting as a kind of domains of distinguishing between their insiders and outsiaders, friends and enemies, as well as to mobilize target audiences and support groups for various PR-projects.
