Annotation:  The authors of the article analyze the main tendencies in the demographic dynamics in France in connection with immigrants’ flow, for instance, childbirth. They also consider the process of interrelation between immigration and economic factors, which serve as the foundation of the co-development programme. In reference to the demographic aspect, immigration is considered as one of the main factors, which contributes to the increase of the labour force in France as the population of both France and Europe is aging. If we are talking about the practical application of the co-development program, this applies primarily to the redistribution of wealth, in a form such as changes in taxation, general investment policy, the development of international trade, the activities of international organizations. The authors give their assessment of the efficiency of the programme, its main directions and track the connection of immigration with integration and demography. Free movement of migrants is one of the inalienable factors of economic, social, cultural and political development of a state. However, the coordination of European policies in this sphere is not a panacea, and can’t tackle all the problems, which the French and European societies confront with.

Keywords:  demographic policy, immigrants, immigration, integration, demography, the programme of co-development.
