Annotation:  The study of the biogenic activity of root tissues of some species of ornamental plants of park communities has been carried out. With the use of the test culture, differences in the intensity of the decrease in the vital activity of Paramecium caudatum were revealed by contact with root tissue substances of certain types of ornamental plants. The maximum rate of suppression of vital activity of P. caudatum was observed under the action of the components of the tissues of the roots of Pyracantha crenulata. The aqueous solutions of the tissues of the roots of Laurocerasus lusitanica and Forsythia viridissima showed the lowest biogenic properties. Three groups of ornamental plants are distinguished according to the level of biogenic activity of horse tissues. In the representatives of the first and second groups, the intensity of the negative action of the root tissues in P. caudatum decreases uniformly, in the third group this parameter is characterized by a significant gradient. The tendency of an increase in the duration of exposure of the lethal effect on P. caudatum substances of tissues of the roots of woody plants was noted. It is shown that when forming pack communities, it is necessary to take into account the level of biogenic activity of the roots of various plant species
